A nice relaxing smoke...

Early in the week, the Mrs and I ordered some Diviners Three from IAmShaman and it arrived on Thursday. Knowing I was going to have a busy day at work Friday, we put the blend aside, and decided to wait until Friday night to give it a smoke. It was worth the wait!!! The blend includes several spiritual herbs, including Wild Dagga, premium Blue Lily of the Nile, and Salvia divinorum Prime Harvest and a couple others. The smoke provided a mellow warmth, coupled with a strong buzz from the Salvia. The is just enough Salvia to get your "buzz" on, without having the full "vision" effect that comes with straight Sal. It turned out to be a great smoke for a Friday night of watching Baseball....Go SOX!!!!

Want to try some Diviners Three??? You can find it at IAmShman. Just look under the Burning Blends section!

Wild Dagga leaf...a nice relaxing smoke

The Mrs and I decided to try and smoke some Wild Dagga leaf last night. We measured out 1g of dried leaf, and crushed it somewhat to allow it to easily fit within a pipe bowl. We sat back and enjoyed a nice relaxing smoke, filling our bowls several times. The effects were a mellow glow, very relaxing with only a hint of a buzz. All in all...it was an enjoyable session.

First dose of Wild Dagga

The Mrs and I made two cups of Wild Dagga tea last night - each steeped 5g of leaf in approximately 10oz of hot water. After about 30 minutes of brewing, we sat back, and began to drink the tea. The taste of Wild Dagga (Lion's Tail) is awful, but we forced down the brew. Within 10 minutes, we began to experience a pretty good "buzz", isolated strictly in the head. It was like a good beer buzz, only I felt more alert. The sensation lasted approximately forty minutes, before vanishing, leaving us back at baseline.

The taste of the Wild Dagga tea has led us to believe that smoking the leaf may be a better choice, and we will do that soon!!!!

2nd Kratom usage...same results

Mrs. G and I had some friends over Saturday night, and we all did 10ml shots of boiled down Kratom. We all experienced some minor heartbeat increase, and a sense of increased "talkative-ness"...but alas, nothing more. We will have to keep experimenting with dosages...

But the good news...we have some Salvia 20x on the way.....should be enjoying it by the weekend!!!! Will post the results of our spiritual exploration later....

First time with Kratom....

Well...the Mrs. and I decided to give our new Kratom leaves a try last night....
We started out with approximately 50g or dried Kratom leaves, and brought them to a slow boil for 15 minutes in 1L of water. After 15 minutes we poured the liquid through a strainer, and reserved it in a second bowl. We returned the leaves to the saucepan and added in another 1L of water. After boiling this second batch for 15 minutes, we strained it into the reserved liquid, and tossed out the spent leaves.

We then boiled the combined tea (the 2L of water/kratom tea) down to a volume of only 100ml. The result was a bitter, brown liquid, that was far from "tea" in appearence!

I measured out 7ml of the kratom extract we had just made for each of us, and we drank them like a shot. We washed them down with a beer (the taste is far from award winning!!!) and sat back to watch some tv. Within 30 minutes, my heart rate began to increase, and I felt like I had new found energy. We continued to drink beer, and the Mrs. commented on how she would normally begin to get tired after 4 beers, but she felt wide awake!

Our findings: Extracted down to 100ml, a 7ml dosage, when combined with drinking beer, provides a mild stimulant effect. We both said that we will each give a 10ml dose a try, and see how goes!!!!

First Taste Of Blue Lotus Tea

Well....our first time drinking blue lotus tea has come and gone. The verdict: a relaxing tea that gave a mellow feeling. The taste is far better than the smell! We were hoping for more of a "pot" or "opium" effect...but no such luch. Perhaps we will have to look into a blue lotus extract in order to get that effect!!! Well.....on to Kratom tonight!!! Will let you know how it goes!!!
